You'll need to tell us a bit more if the list is to be of any real help to
you on this ... that is, if we are to do more than make wild guesses about
what the problem might be.

1. Wait to reply until you can check the sendmail version and include it in
your followup.

2. What is the EXACT error message that users are getting and what are they
getting it from (an app on the Linux server? an app on the Win95 client?)?
"an error about the disk space and ram" could mean almost anything.

3. Be more specific than "the message header was corrupt" about what you
already know about the problem. Which header? What was wrong with it? If you
can (without violating any confidentiality needs), include a sample.

4. HOW were the users trying to "get mail" via their Win95 clients? pop3
(what client software)? imap (again, what client)? telnet and run pine? a
Win95-based X server (what mail client?) something I'm not thinking of?

Blaming Microsoft may be the "right" answer, but that alone won't solve your
problem, not if you're in a company that sees Microsoft as the standard and
demands that anything else conform to it. You'll still need to know more
about the source of the problem. Your answering the preceding questions may
let some of us help.
