You don't have vi man pages with Slackware, but you do have man pages for
vim which is also installed. vim is vi "improved"(depends on your tastes.)
If you haven't choosen an editor yet you might look at VIM, it's got a
great tutorial built into the editor. Seems quite popular, say the right
thing in a room full of VIM and Emacs users, and you can start a fistfight
;^) I prefer jed myself but to each his own.
