In Slackware there is a symbolic link from /usr/bin/vi to /usr/bin/elvis,
which is one of the vi-lookalikes shipped. Man elvis gets the man page.
As you noted, man vi gets nothing, unfortunately. Another vi lookalike,
vim, is also available. In my opinion it is considerably better than
elvis-vi.
