Hi:
I'm looking for some help with a mouse problem. I do not seem to be
able to get the mouse to work. I am using 2.0.36 and included BusMouse
support when I built the kernel. When the kernel starts, I see the line
"Microsoft BusMouse detected and Installed."
However, when I use XF86Setup, I can never get the arrow symbol to move.
I do have the symbolic link /dev/mouse > inportbm. I've also tried with
gpm running (-t bm) and killed. In neither case do I see a cursor arrow
symbol when I do startx, and then it seems as if Xwindows hangs up.
I've also tried using xf86config, but no luck there either.
Anyone have any ideas what I'm doing wrong or missing here?
