That message is cause by you trying to umount the device while your in its
mount-point, for example try;
cd /
umount /dev/cdrom  #or the umount command options you use.

If it wont 'umount' and there are no consoles in the mount-point of the
cdrom then you may have started programs running in the background while
your where in the mount-point, that will also give "device busy".
