1. When Netscape posts the error, is PPP working or not? (In an xterm
window, check using "ps -ax | grep ppp" to see if pppd is active.)
2. Are you sure you've entered the correct IP numbers for your ISP's DNS
server in /etc/resolv.conf ?
3. In /etc/host.conf, do you include the two lines:
order hosts,bind
multi on
?
4. If none of this turns up the problem, you'll need to provide two things:
A. The actual wording of the Netscape error message.
B. The messages in /var/log/messages from ONE COMPLETE pppd session.
