ctrl-alt-F1 doesn't exit X it just sends you to tty1 (first terminal)
using ctrl-alt-backspace does an emegency shutdown (probably not a good
idea). But as far as other shortcut keys go, a lot of them are like in
That-Other-One...like alt-F4 to close the hilighted window, or alt-TAB
to switch between windows.
