Sigh! fdisk is a scary program and near on actively user hostile.
To be fair to its author, the whole @#$! partition design is one of
the most brain dead idiotic pathetic bit of backward compatibility
induced madness I've endured.
Thanks IBM and Microsoft.
Now. On to my question. fdisk, and apparently Win95 likes partitions
to sit on cylinder boundaries. But everybody cheats these days and
does the right thing and treats the disk as a big array of
sectors. They cheat by lying about the number of heads.
Now odds on, however you fdisk the damn thing, since the whole geometry
thing is a scam, your partitions are _not_ going to lie on cylinder
boundaries as percieved by one OS or the other.
Question.
Does it matter?

There is ever only one enemy - And that is the military.
It matters not on which side they purport to be.
