Hello, everyone. Well, I seem to have made yet another stupid mistake.
While compiling ddd, it claimed to run out of space. It was in the /tmp
directory at the time, so, thinking to myself, "hey, it's temporary,
right? I'll just clear it out" just as I had many a time in Win95.
Then, I got another bright idea and tried to symlink my /tmp directory.
When I tried to continue the compilation, the same problem occured. "Oh,
well, I guess I did something wrong." Then I went over to check my
mail... and it was read-only! All of my (non-root) mailboxes were
locked! It's obviously my own stupidity that has caused this, but can
anyone help me figure out what I did wrong? I don't know where the
lockfiles would be, but they're apparrently not in /var/lock. Any ideas?
