I have a dual-boot system: win98 and Linux
I have the latest versions of WinAmp and X11Amp, on their respective OSs.
Last night, after installing X11Amp, I could hear "blips" in the mp3s
I was playing. The blips would appear in the same place in the songs,
so I suspect this is an imperfection in the mp3 files themselves.
However, these "blips" don't occur under win98 and WinAmp with the
same mp3s.
I would prefer to use X11Amp, since it never skips, (Win98/WinAmp skips
often on my AMD-K6-300.) However, the blips are also quite annoying.
Has anyone else experienced this? Any ideas?
