Greetings:
I am running one Linux machine with a standard modem/telephone line
and dialup PPP to the INet for regular email.. Another port is
connected to a Terminal Node Controller (modem) and radio for ham
radio tcp/ip email with two possible sites as postoffices active..
The problem is that I use Sendmail, with DNS inactive because it's not
needed, and when I have messages in the queue going to either of the
ports, there is a mix up. All is OK as long as a typical message on
the radio port is not timed out before it's acknowledged.. If it's
timed out - Sendmail trys to send it out the modem port, when it's
active, and MX records somewhere pick up this message and don't know
where to put it, except into a bit bucket.. Does my description make
sense?.
If I'm careful and monitor the queue, this doesn't happen but I
sometime - read most of the time <grin> - forget...
Any clues or suggestions?? Appreciate!
