Support for fat32 started in production kernels with 2.0.35 (I think),
and is seamlesly built into RedHat 5.2.  So probably, it would be
easiest for you to upgrade to rh 5.2.  You could install the kernel
source for 2.0.32 from rh 5.0 and get the kernel patch files to get the
source to 2.0.35 (may as well go to 2.0.36, because it's there.), make a
kernel and drop it in.  You may also need a newer version of mount.  I'm
not sure:  I have 2.0.36, but I don't have any fat32 fs's to try
moounting.
