Hi,
I'm setting up a network consisting of 32 identical clients and 2
servers. Just finished setting up the automounter and YP Server/Client,
so
that users can logon from any machine. It is required to log the time
the
users are logged on. /var/log/wtmp seems to keep info regarding the
logging
time. ac -p `id -un` gives the information needed from the database.
But this again needs to be centralized, not local to each host. Can this
problem be solved by adding wtmp to the NIS database? How exactly is it
to be done?
Also about the automounter I managed to automount /home by some
weird map file having entry for each user. I would also like to
automount
/usr/local on all the clients. How is the map file for the same written?
Need more information on whats really happening. Any good docs besides
the NAG, HOWTOS, man pages?
Thanks for any help!
