when i installed redhat , it prompted me if i wanted to install lilo
on my MBR or on my Linux partition ( /dev/hda5 ) .. i chose to install
it
on the /dev/hda5 for safety precautions ...
meanwhile , i've been using my bootdisk and also loadlin to get to linux
...
somehow rather , i want to start using my lilo on my linux partition ...
how can i do that , by not installing lilo in my MBR ? ( i'm a bit
afraid
it won't work and i'll have a non-bootable comp ) i've tried partition
manager ... ( which was in the redhat cd .. ) can anyone help me setup
the compart boot manager for the partition manager ... i've tried but to
no avail ... i set 1 as my default boot partition ... when the hd1/1
was loading , i pressed 2 , to get linux to start .. but it hanged ... (
lucky i backup'd my MBR )
or if noone knows a thing of that partition manager , could anyone tell
me how can i use lilo now , in my situation ? a easier or better
solution problably ?
