I have heard this twice, what is a geometry mismatch? Is that when the BIOS
specifies ones size and the hdd is actually another?
As far as moving /etc/lilo/boot.b without running the map installer, How do
I run the map installer? Is /sbin/lilo the map installer? Fdisk maybe?

You are right. But I have an extra 3.2 laying around, so I'm going to try
and reload linux and mount the drives from there.
