Okay, here some more particulars:
AMD K6-350
Iwell AX100 Motherboard (100 Mhz bus, AGP without an AGP card, running
AMD at 2.2V)
128Meg SDRam (Toshiba)
36X CDRom (BTC 36X-Multiread, IDE)
HD One 1.2Gig (Seagate IDE, has windows on it, worked with RH5.2 on last
system)
HD Two 8.4Gig (Maxtor IDE, UltraDMA)
Creative GB Exxtreme video card (I understand there's a server for this)
SoundBlaster 16Pnp (also an old component that worked on old RH)
ActionTec .v90 Pnp Modem (component modem, not winmodem, set with
jumpers to COM4)
Current setup has HD one as hda, CDrom as hdb (a slave of hda), and HD
two as hdc (on second IDE slot by itself).
I did disable any BIOS settings that Debian said were bad.
turned off all shadow RAM
turned off APM
disabled the external cache
(15-16 memory hole was already disabled)
I also found this new message:
...
[various numbers]
...
Aiee, killing interrupt handler
kfree of non-kmalloced memory:--------
I' going to try installing Debian, to see if it's just the RH disk.
Probably not, but what the hey...
