which app Netscape, WP and Star Office take some time to start.

the person who said use top to check processes has a point, but to me
this does not really effect performance. When Netscape decides to check
CPU cycles, I only notice because I am using the program. I find the
only noticeable system slowdown coincides with the annoying sound of my
HD. So my performance bottleneck is memory and a slow HD.
I truly hope this is helpful.
