        Appletalk is the net language for Macs.  If you don't have a Mac
in your LAN, than you don't need it.

        Of course, as far as you don't need it.

        You'll have to rebuild the kernel and don't say yes when it asks
you for it.  Than, it is one of the modules that is loaded at boot time.
To stop the kernel in it's try to load it you'll have to add some lines in
/etc/conf.modules.  But I do you no help by telling you what to do step by
step.  Read the Module-HOWTO for details.

        pico - the pine editor - is pretty easy to learn.  It doesn't have
modules but it has a list of commands in the lower part of the screen.
It's the easiest to use editor around AFAIK.
