I have a Linux Slackware machine and I have to collect some traffic statistics using SNMP. Now, when I issue the command <snmpget 192.168.10.3 public 1.3.4........ > where 1.3.4. is the object id for my Cisco router, I get the "Can not find mib file" message. Theoretically if I give the exact sting for the object ID there is no need for the entire MIB. Or I should use the string definition (internet.private.enterpise....etc) instead of numbers ? Any suggestion would be appreciate ! Thanks Bogdan
