I just thought I would run a little experiment with my new Linux (RH 5.1)
system. Actually this has some benefit also...
I have two hard drives on the system the primary one (hda) is about 375mb.
I have a root file system on this drive at hda1 and about 24mb of swap
space at hda2. This I can see this drive filling up quickly as I install
software.
My second drive (hdb) is a 1.2 gig and up until now has been completely
unused so I copied the entire contents of /usr to it and then mounted hdb
as /usr.
Will this cause any problems in the future? i.e. having /usr on a different
drive than the root directory? Because if it will I'll probably switch it
back ( I haven't removed the old /usr)
