I don't use Stempede myself, and it wouldn't surprise me if no one on this
list uses it -- it's too new and too beta to be in really widespread use
yet, especially by beginners. So, with that disclaimer, let me direct you to
the main sources of info about Linux.
1. The man pages. If you know some other Unix, you know how they work.
2. The GNU "info" system. If Stampede has it (I can't imagine it doesn't),
type "info" to get started.
3. The Linux HowTos and miniHowTos. Usually in /usr/doc, but I don't know if
Stempede puts them somewhere different.
4. The HowTos and a lot of other stuff are on the Web at the Linux
Documentation Project, URL http://metalab.unc.edu/LDP/ .
5. The Linux-newbie FAQ. At URL
http://www.linux-learn.org/faqs/linux-newbie-faq.html .
