Hi, I've been following this thread and haven't seen anyone mention the
.rhkmvtag file.  In RedHat 5.2 they introduced this file and there must be
one in each module directory... ie /lib/modules/2.2.0  To create one simply
'cat /proc/version > .rhkmvtag'.  It is used in the rc.sysinit script to
create the preferred symlink as well as the module-info and System.map
symlinks.
