Hi,

Ive a HP Laserjet 4 Plus connected to a Redhat 5.2 server running Samba for
connectivity.

When I print from any of my Win clients everything works swell. Expect that
sometimes the clients complain about printing failed (during printer warming
up), but so did they on the old server (NetWare) too.

But if I print directly to the port "type myfile.txt >> lpt3" I get two
copies of the file. LPT3 is assigned with a "NET uSE LPT3
//LINUXBOX/HPlaserjet".

And the same occurs if I print on the server with "cat myfile.txt >>
/dev/lp1".

An if I start the X window system and print any of the printertool test
printer pages, I get two copies.

Does anyone have any solution.
