Two thoughts about the printcap excerpt above:
1. Does the file /var/spool/lpd/lp0/filter actually exist?
2. Shouldn't the lp= entry read ":lp=/dev/lp0:\" (or does use if the
if= option change this - I can never remember)?
And just to be clear ... it doesn't work if you enter the command as "lpr
-Plp filename"?
