try the following key combinataions during boot, as well:

        <DEL>
        <ESC>
        <F1>
        <F2>
        <CTRL>-<ALT>-<ENTER>
        <CTRL>-<ALT>-<ESC>
        <CTRL>-<ALT>-S
        <CTRL>-<ALT>-<INS>

one of those might get you into the setup program.
