Can I install some packages in rpm in a slackware distribution? Do all the linux distribution keeps the files in same place after distribution? ONE more question. I suppose all distribution suppy binary for i386 archietecture... Is it not alway preferable to compile at least kernel so that It care use the newer processor compatibility and runs better?
