Hey! Did you hear what Langa Kentane was saying on Apr 15 ?

LK> I installed slackware yesterday on my machine but my pci ne2000 ethernet
LK> card was not detected.
LK>
LK> How would I go about loading the drivers and setting up the bindings and
LK> stuff?

First you must re-compile your kernel to include support for your
NIC either as a module or in the kernel directly. (my preference would be
as a module).

And if you do load your card as a module you'll have to include
the following in /etc/conf.modules ...

options ne io=0x300 (alter to your io address of course)

At least that's what you have to do for ISA ne2000's :-)
