No, there isn't software around for these modems, and to the best of my
knowledge none is being developed. As I understand it, any driver would have
to be specific to a particular brand of HSP modem (the proper generic term),
and developing it would require access to information that the card
manufacturers regard as proprietary -- so GPL'd drivers are not a
possibility, reducing interest in the developer community. Unless a card
manufacturer itself decides to offer a Linux driver for its own product, we
are unlikely to see a way to use HSP modems with Linux.
