I thinks this is a routing question, and I also think I am
one file change from getting it right. the problem involves a simple
network, one windows, and the other (mine, RH Linux 2.2.5). I will
just use my machine to connect to my isp (the windows will have its own
windows connection...ie not rely on my linux connection). now, i am
confused...when i establish ppp with my isp, and do ifconfig. it lists
ppp0..and then my local network IP number (and not my isp....hence no internet
action).
Should my network's hostname correspond to my isp's? how
about my network's domain? Is there an easy setup for all of this? Is
there some relaying item I'm missing ie gateway etc
