Hello everyone:
I have a cd burner at work (Win95) and one at home
(Win98 & Linux dualboot) and want to know if cds that
are burned under either Win doze program will be able
to be read under Linux. The reason I ask is because I
have yet to upgrade my modem which is (Say it ain't
so!) an HSP-modem from my old Gateway and I can't
download RPMs directly to the Linux kernel. I thought
it was a good enough modem for my purposes, but that
was before I knew the little bit I know about Linux
now.
Also, a more general question that I have heard and
read differing views upon. Is it pronounced 'Line-ux'
or 'Lynn-ux'. Thanks in advance.
Regards-Dave
PS- To Whitney Lawson: I apologize profusely for my
earlier mistake. You too are The Man!
