On the question of installing KDE:
All of which brings a question to mind. I've installed
tkdesk but is this the same KDE that you are referring
to? Afraid I've been a bit confused on the terms:
KDE and GNOME. I thought KDE is a window manager+
a bunch of other things. While GNOME is a set of executables
which can be used under any window manager (or have I got
that backwards). :)
And both of them have extensive graphic libraries useful
for doing gui programming.
Would someone kindly set me straight on this.
