Password Problem?!?

Hi!

I have the follwing problem: I can login into my XDM Terminal, but one I
want to make a telnet to my computer (so I would have to use the same
password) Linux doesn't accept this password!

Where ist the problem? Is it a bug or a feature? ;-) Whats wrong with my
configuration?
