I'm SOL, tho....the #$%#% modem has no jumpers, and I can't find a *^%*^&
way in the manual of it to change the port :/ I guess I'll have to start
playing around with every suggestion made :) Then again....I may wait for
around 50hr, while I finish dlding the RH 6 CD image....I've been hearing
very bad things about TurboLinux....so...I guess I'll give RH a shot and
see if that helps with my problem.
BTW....I have a RH 4.x CD here....is it worth trying to get it updated by
dlding select RPMs? if so...what RPMs should I update? Or am I better off
dlding the whole thing and just installing that one? I'm doing the dld
with a modem (don't get me started on the *^%*^&% companies that think that
here in Mexico we should pay cable connections by the MB dlded, instead of
a flat rate like in most civilized places in the world), and a 50+hr dld is
a pain in the butt....but if it's gonna end up being a 49.5hr dld to update
4.2...well :)
