Kernel 2.2.x is recommended, but I think it will still run juno 1.38 1nd
1.49 with any kernel from 0.99 on. I am using 2.0.36 with Ulrich
Weigand's LDT patch. This release has problems with win16 lock at
termination (nothing control-c can't handle). I expect the next release
will be better. I haven't tried juno 2.0 with this one yet.

If you don't get any answers for dosemu, I can probably hunt it down,
but I don't have it ready to hand.

This mail client runs on Wine. Your mileage may vary.
