OK, there's a few things that have to be learned here ;)... WINE is VERY
slow.  It's going to be especially on low end Pentiums.  Also, you just
directly run a Windows program, you don't need to start WIN.COM.

You will NOT get WINE to work with any Windows drivers.  Sorry, it's not
allowed to do things like that.  Get someone to reverse-engineer the
driver and write one for Linux.  Or, try SANE.  (I don't know the URL on
that, but I'm sure that you can find it at freshmeat.net.)
