I edited my hosts file and something went wrong
and I can nolonger boot the BOX
the messages on the monitor looks something like this
Starting sendmail: #and it hangs for a long time but overcomes the problem
the error that follows in
!!! NWServ 0:Panic !!!
NWServ 0:Get-ini:
Cannot get auto internal net with help of gethostbyname
!!! NWServ 0:Panic !!!
NWServ 0:init:dev:
Auto device is only in combination with internal net allowded
start SMB services: smbd httpd: cannot determine localhost name
Use ServerName to set it manually
and here the system hangs
I can go linux single and edit
but I do not quite know what to edit.
below are two files that might be need correction
/etc/resolv.conf

search metta.lk
nameserver 204.143.107.34
nameserver 204.143.96.17
nameserver 204.143.96.23
/etc/hosts
-----------
204.143.107.46 dhamma dhammma
127.0.0.1 localhost localhost.localdomain
THIS is surely the way to learn,
but sorry that youall are the ones I trouble.
