In about a week, I will be building an SMP system which will run both
Redhat 6.0 and Windows NT. I've heard many times that it's smart to
install windows first, but in this case, it is inconvenient. Is there any
way to create two partitions to start with, and to install Linux on the
second one, *before* NT or anything else has been installed onto the first
(and before the first has been formatted).
Also, is it possible to use NT with FAT or FAT32 and, if so, what are the
benefits of using NTFS instead (I know this isn't a windows mailing list,
but frankly, I've no experience with NT).
Finally, I've read the NT + Linux mini-howto, but am still wondering if the
NT bootloader must be used, or if Lilo can be used without the NT
bootloader's "help."
Thank you for any help you can give on this matter, and I look forward to
the task at hand (assuming what I describe can at all be done).

Regards,
William

P.S. If it helps in any way, the hard disk will be a 9.1GB SCSI drive, and
the RH install will be done off a bootable SCSI CD-ROM drive (both
connected to an on-board Adaptec controller).
