dear newbies (and old bees),
something very strange happened to me. i downloaded a webpage about
"faq about modems" so as usually mr.netscape asked me the question where i
want to have it saved, the usual place for me is /home/mek/ (mek is my
name), because there lays all my important stuff. so later off line i
wanted to read it in kde, opened the home-directory as window, clicked the
icon "mek" where after i should find the icons of all my programs and
important stuff, but there i found the tekst "faq about modems" instead of
any icons. i tried to delete the tekst, to get back the icons, but it
didn't work, even not to remove to the trash bin.
fortunately i saw by using the disk-navigator that all the files does
still exist. does anyone know how i get rid of this.
oh yes, the downloaded file was part of uunet-howtos, so i searched on
everithing on my harddisk called "uunet" and deleted it, but still...
i use suse 6.1
