Normally, the current directory is _not_ on your path. You can put it
there, but it is considered a security risk. You can execute something
from the current directory with ./<executables name>

Read the README before you let fly with make. As far as the Mesa folks
are concerned, linux is Unix-X11; some of the others might apply if you
have 3dfx hardware or GGI. There are specific README's for all.
