The above indicates that you already have a linux system installed on that
disk, now to properly install a new system you can do 2 things,
1) start from scratch, which means let the install format and create a new
filesystem on the partition you define.
2) Use the "upgrade" option.

Once again this indicates that you have not reformated the partition(s) or
created a new ext2 filestsyem.

That indicates that there is no swap partition is use.

The above are LILO related problems and have nothing to do with installing
linux.
Anyway the limit is 1024 cyls not 1030 that concerns LILO and not linux
itself. You can install any linux system on whatever cylinder setup you
want, however booting with lilo is another matter.
I suggest you start again but this time allow the install to reformat and
create a new filesystem.
If i remember correctly i was the one who replyed to your first question
and i did say in that reply what i have just wrote.
