AFAIK you can use the windose telnet, but if you just start up an X
session without any preparation, it will use the keyboard, mouse and
display on the host machine.  What you really need is an X server for
your windows box.  There are several, some free, but I don't know them.
(Little help, newbies?)

The other thing you need is to have a read of the Remote-X-Apps mini
howto:  if I understand you, you want to run X clients on the Alpha, and
an X server on the windose.  If bandwidth might be a problem, also the
LBX mini howto.
