Hi !
Recently I installed SuSE 6.0 that I copied and now I try to make the
soundcard working. Knowing how easy it can be from RedHat (sndconfig) I
wonder if there is any other way for SuSE to setup a non-PnP-soundcard as
it may sound to be from the howtos. Afaik as I understand it correctly (my
english is not that great) it says to load the isapnp-module (what I can`t
use for non pnp cards ??) and the lx_suse module and after reading on it
said that i have to recompile the kernel.
Is this just my lag of understanding or a freaking joke ? I mailed to SuSE
about that, too, asking if there is any other way and why they don't have a
soundcard setup tool included in YaST (what would make much sense to me).
Yet they didn't reply.
Any tips, tricks, hints, answers or further info how to make it run ? The
card itself is a SB/MSS compatible card, using SuSE 6.0 with kernel 2.0.36.
