Apache Server

I have the latest version of Apache on a CD.  I have two questions....
1.  How do I get access (what commands do I type) the CD ROM?
2.  After I gain access, How do I load it so that it up dates the
version that was loaded when I installed Red Hat 5.2.

The Apache software is <filename>.tar.dz.
