Red Hat 5.1 Internal and External Modem

Hi All,
I have stock IBM Aptiva 580. It came with an internal 56k modem. When
running Windows 98 its COM1. Linux does not see it at all. I have to use

a Hayes Accura 56k external on COM2 and the Hayes works great. So now I
have 2 modems hooked to my computer. I would like to use the internal
56k and not the Hayes. Can someone give me some advise.
