I have had this from the beginning. I cannot check in except as root.
I run RH 5.0, installed as it comes. (installed with EZstart.bat off
the CDROM.)
I have only logged in as root. There is no other way.
What's wrong?
I did run XFree86. With 'User and Group configuration' (control-panel)
I added 'myname herman' 'password secret' 'full name'
I exited XF86 via menu, Linux via cntl-alt-del.
Upon rebooting:
Log-in: herman
Password: Secret
Login incorrect.
What could be wrong?
