I've succeeded in configuring an HP697C Deskjet with apsfilter.
However, when printing a postscript file, the top margin is set too
large to accomodate the bottom of the page resulting in an occasional
line or two being dropped. Page three of the Printing-Usage-HOWTO is
an example. I've tried the cdj550 driver (listed as perfectly
compatible with the 697C using LPRng - I use lpr) and the cdj670 driver
(listed as perfectly compatible with the 690C, although it prints a
great tiger on the 697). I'm aware of the half inch bottom margin with
HP Deskjets, I just don't know how to get around it, rather above it.
I can print the above example using Ghostview under Windows. Where
should I look for a solution?

Also, after using apsfilter several times I opted to include both
drivers in printcap (cdj670 and cdj550). How does lpr decide which one
to use if you do not tell it on the command line and do not have a
PRINTER variable set?

Thanks,
Kurt Kehler
