The advantage to "day-mon" is that unix-illiterate folks won't think you've
joined an evil cult when you mention that you "had to kill my male demon" :-)

There's an old story of an Unix conference set in Texas. One of the attendees
stopped off in a bar for a drink, wearing a BSD t-shirt. A local regular looked
him up and down, then drawled, "Son, we don't truck with the prince of darkness
in these parts."
