Hi! I got my ppp thing set up on linux and actually can browse the web and
ftp. But the transfer rate is way too low even for my snail-slow modem.
It's only about half as fast as it were used to be in Win95. (say around
0.6-0.8k under Linux as opposed to ~1.6k in Win95). What could be wrong?
I'm suspecting that I may need to enable compression kind of stuff??
