Howdy, CaT:
19k2 is probably a very good choice for a 14k4 modem as (probably) little
is to be gained at 38k4. However, I don't believe it takes more computer
cycles per character.
A string of 80 characters transferred between
serial>modem<>modem>serial ports
will generate 80 interrupts and howevermany cycles
per character no matter what baud is used.
