Thanx for the many replies. Attached is diagnostic info. Please have a
look.
I also note an unusal thing about the modem LEDs. When I d/l a file or
view a webpage in Win95, RD _flashes_ at a high freqeuently. And if I
interrupt the transfer, it would stop after about 1 or 2 sec. But now
under Linux RD _remains_ lit for as long as the file is being
transferred(*no* flashing). And the response is slow when I interrupt the
transfer (4 or 5 sec).
And I'm not sure what to do w/ Lawson's advice. Lawson, do u mean I should
setserial /dev/modem the spd_vhi flag and then add 38400 to pppd cmdline?
Marc, so I should include 115200 in my options file?
